Roddy (vocalist/guitarist), Geoff (guitarist), Neil (bass) and Jeremy (drums) are the members of Rebel Emergency. An innovative new band whose sound is an eclectic mix of Rock, Reggae and Ska that is undeniable in both it's energy and originality. During the past 18 months, the band formerly known as Panic and the Rebels remained low key while undergoing a transformation in both image and sound. In 2005, Panic and The Rebels released Captured By a Vision independently and sold close to 4,000 copies through Live shows in Canada, Jamaica and the US...major events included Reggae Sumfest, Edgefest, WakeStock and NXNE, at which CHART magazine rated their performance 89/100 and stated \'This is the first time I\'ve ever seen an opening act rake \'em in\'. The album received 4 STARS from NOW Magazine and was heralded by the Jamaican Star as being \'an ingenious blend of rock, reggae vocals and percussion patterns reminiscent of the Ska movement of the Jamaican 60\'s.\' Prior to the album\'s national release through a Canadian Major, tragic circumstances forced Panic to walk away from the group and instead of folding, Rebel Emergency was born. Described as the perfect blend between Sting and Adam Levine, Roddy, who shared lead vocal duties with Panic, took control of the Rebels and transformed them into his own. Fast forward to 2008...With a new EP and fresh perspective, Rebel Emergency is poised to establish themselves as Artists in an industry saturated by bands. Co-Produced by Grammy Award winning producer/engineer Commissioner Gordon Williams (Lauryn Hill, The Fugees, Santana), their self titled EP draws inspiration from a rich well of Rock and Reggae legends and is destined to appeal to a large demographic of fans.
