Reviews:

Philip Seymour Hoffman has played his fair share of sexually awkward mouth-breathers (Happiness, Boogie Nights, even The 25th Hour, sorta), so casting him as a priest suspected of pedophilia—no offense, Phil—just seems right. But the operative word is "suspected," as what makes Doubt such an effective drama is whether his relationship with a troubled African-American boy justifies the consternation of nuns both rigid (Meryl Streep) and naïve (Amy Adams).
