What can you say when a blatant Indiana Jones knockoff supersedes the actual Indiana Jones in quality? While Kingdom of the Crystal Skull seemed to crib indecipherable plot points and CGI from the Mummy playbook, director Stephen Sommers delivered another entertaining, broad comedy-thriller, keeping the series vital with fresh faces Jet Li, Michelle Yeoh and Maria Bello.
